What this site is
MCServerScout is a free list of Minecraft servers from around the world, focused on popular English-speaking communities. It currently covers:
- 546 servers, each with its own page: address, versions, Java and Bedrock support, player history, uptime and reviews.
- 27 game modes and categories, from survival and SMP to skyblock, prison and Cobblemon.
- 0 votes and 0 published reviews from players.
- A guide to starting your own server, a FAQ and a free vote API for server owners.
The site is available in English, Polish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, Czech, Ukrainian, Russian, Greek. Voting, reviews and adding a server need no account, and the site stores nothing about you beyond what the privacy policy describes.
Who builds it
MCServerScout is built and maintained by Wojtazzzz, a software engineer from Poland. The goal is a server list where every number on the page is measured, not copied from a server's own advertising, so you can tell at a glance whether a server is alive before you join.

Where the data comes from
Every server on the list is pinged every few minutes, the same way the Multiplayer menu in Minecraft asks a server for its status. Each check stores whether the server answered, how many players were online, the version range it accepts and its MOTD. Those measurements are the source of everything on a server page:
- Player history and averages are built from the stored checks. A check where the server did not answer is recorded as "unknown", not as zero players, so a short outage does not drag the averages down.
- Uptime is the share of checks in the last 30 days that the server answered.
- Game modes, community language and country are worked out from the server's address, MOTD and plugins. A country is only shown when there is a clear signal, such as a national domain or a MOTD written in that country's language.
- Server descriptions are written with the help of AI from the data above and only state what that data supports. Owners can always ask for a correction.
Server addresses come from owners who add their servers here and from public server rankings. Nothing else is copied from other sites.
How the ranking works
Servers that are online come first. Among them, the order is set by votes from players (one per person per day), with the number of players online breaking ties. Nobody can pay to move up the list. Votes and reviews are tied to a keyed hash of the visitor's IP address, never to the address itself, which is how the one-vote-a-day limit works without storing personal data.
How reviews are moderated
Every review is checked once before it appears. Links, contact details and advertising for other servers are removed, and reviews that are only spam are rejected. Honest criticism stays up: a negative review is not a reason to remove it. Server owners who think a review breaks the terms of use can report it through the contact page.
How the site is funded
Everything on the site is free to read and use. For now the site shows no ads; in the future it will show advertising served through Google AdSense, and the privacy policy explains the cookies that involves. Listing a server and appearing in the ranking will always be free.
Disclaimers
MCServerScout is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB. Server names, icons and MOTDs belong to their owners and are shown as they are reported by the servers themselves.
We do not run any of the listed servers. Joining one is at your own risk: read its rules, never share your account password and be careful with links posted on a server.
