• Carry a stack of blocks and a bow, since ranged knockback wins many fights near the edge.
• Watch for players bridging towards you and break their path or knock them off early.
• Head to the centre only once you are geared, as it usually draws several players at once.

Look for servers with active queues in the format you prefer, balanced chest loot and fair kits that do not lock strong items behind payments. If you play with friends, check whether team modes are popular enough to fill lobbies at your usual times.
