Ancients is on its fourth map, and the message of the day announces that an area called Asphodel is now open. The server does not list its game modes in its public information, so the exact format is something you will discover after joining, but the map numbering shows it runs in distinct cycles with fresh worlds. The Velocity proxy accepts Java clients from 1.7 to 26.2. At our last check 14 players were online, with 1,000 slots configured. Joining near the start of a map cycle gives you the same footing as everyone else, and Asphodel being newly opened makes this a natural entry point.
