OneBlock Minecraft servers

OneBlock takes the void-survival idea to its extreme: you stand on a single block, and every time you break it, it immediately regenerates as something new. It might become dirt, then oak logs, then a chest of loot or a hostile mob. On Minecraft OneBlock servers that one block is your entire supply chain, and everything you build has to be pieced together from whatever it drops.

Progress is split into phases. The block starts with plains materials and gradually moves through stages such as underground, snow, ocean, jungle, the Nether and eventually the End, unlocking new resources and stronger mobs as you mine. Multiplayer versions give each player or team a protected area, track how many blocks you have broken and often add a shop and upgrades. The mode suits players who like steady unlocks, a bit of randomness and building outward from a single point.

Surviving the first phases

The biggest early risk is falling. Before mining too fast, use the first blocks you get to build a small platform around the magic block so drops and mobs land somewhere solid.

• Keep a few blocks of dirt and every sapling you find; a tree farm makes wood renewable.
• Expect hostile mobs in later phases and keep a weapon and a shelter close to the block.
• Leave the block area clear so chests that spawn are easy to open and loot.
• Find out whether the server lets you reset or replay phases, and what that costs.

OneBlock and Skyblock compared

Both modes start in the void, but OneBlock is more guided: the phase system decides when new materials appear, while Skyblock leaves resource generation up to your own designs. If you prefer a clear sense of progression, OneBlock is the gentler starting point.
